At Pro X, our Hitting and Defensive programming is developed with a strong emphasis on quality repetitions across all aspects of the game. We offer a number of Hitting and Defensive services to match our customer needs, including various developmental levels and a number of weekly classes to choose from. Our Hitting and Defensive options span across different levels and ages from the youth athlete to professional athlete. Our level/belt system will ensure each athlete gets placed in the appropriate class based on their individual skill set, age, and current developmental stage - ensuring a comprehensive program and approach to all Pro X athletes.
PRO X HITTING CLASSES
Our Hitting Classes are specifically designed to maximize your reps and exposure to some of the following: Overloading/Underloading, curve ball training, situational hitting, while getting instruction from our Pro X staff to help each student reach their hitting potential. Different stations and drills are used to ensure you’re developing your swing and approach with each class. Our level/tier system will ensure each athlete gets placed in the appropriate class based on the athlete’s skill set, age and developmental stage. With a max capacity of 12 athletes per hour class, lock in your spot before it’s too late!
PRO X DEFENSIVE CLASSES
At Pro X, our Defensive Classes cover all-field positions - no matter what position you are playing. Whether infield, outfield, or catching, we are offering high-level programming and instruction to take your training and performance to the next level. Our level/tier system will ensure each athlete gets placed in the appropriate class based on the athlete’s skill set, age and developmental stage.
Rick Stiner serves as the Director of Baseball and Softball at Pro X. Rick attended Western Kentucky University and later transferred to Grand Canyon University. As an Antelope, Rick’s team finished as the NAIA World Series runners-up. Rick was then selected by the Milwaukee Brewers organization as a catcher. While playing High A ball for the Stockton Ports, his team won the California League Championship. Playing for successful teams definitely contributed to the independent success Rick experienced throughout his career. Rick has coached for the Indiana Bulls Organization for more than 10 years, and has been teaching hitting and catching lessons for 26 years. Rick has made a career of instructing players to the next level. He enjoys the competitiveness of coaching and winning the mental part of the game.
Walther was a RHP for Parkland College and University of Southern Indiana, where he was part of two National Championship teams. After playing, he coached for one year at Parkland College and was the Pitching Coach & Recruiting Coordinator for 4 years at the University of Indianapolis before joining the Pro X staff at he beginning of 2018.
With 90+ College players selected in MLB Amateur Draft and 24 College players in the Major Leagues. Billy spent time as an Assistant Coach at Tulane University, NC State University, and Oklahoma State University as well as being the Head Coach at Applachian State University. As the Hitting and Defensive Development Coordinator at Pro X, Billy brings with him a wealth of experience in all aspects of the game with many accolades to his credit - including, the 2003 Baseball America's National Assistant Coach of the Year Finalist, 8 NCAA Regional Appearances, Led the Big 12 in Home Runs 5 times, and was an All-Star Manager at the Cape Cod League.
